Royals Socked By Red Sox

Sean Reilly's two run homer in the bottom of the first inning moved him up to 3rd All Time in Runs Batted In and a tie for 5th all time for homers as the Royals fell 8-5 to Brantford Saturday afternoon at Hastings Stadium.

Meleti Melehes took the loss and Frankie Hare clubbed out two homers in the losing effort.

With the loss, the Royals can finish no higher than 7th place in the IBL standings and will play the 2nd place team in the opening round of the playoffs. Who that will be is still very much undecided as half game seperates three teams from 1st to 3rd heading into the final games of the regular season.

The Royals close out their regular season with home games Monday against Hamilton and Tuesday against Mississauga game times at Hastings Stadium are 7:30 pm
