The Royals got a strong seven inning performance out of Ryan Hart Tuesday night and let their bats do all the talking as they cruised to a 7-2 victory over the Maple Leafs at Hastings Stadium. The victory tied their best of seven quarter final series at 1-1in front of a crowd of over 500.
Sean Reilly and Sean Travers were offensive spark plugs for the Royals each tallying three hits. Reilly belted his 2nd homer of the series driving home two while Travers added a single and two doubles and picked up a run batted in.
Hart picked up the win allowing two runs on six hits, struckout two , and walked a batter. Greg Byron pitched the 8th and 9th innings.
For the Leafs Drew Taylor took the loss while Dan Gibbons drove in both runs and hit his second homer of the series.
