Hammond Returns for 2024 Season

by Ryan Eakin

GUELPH - The Guelph Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce today the re-signing of utility player Ethan Hammond.

Hammond, 22, will enter his fourth season with the Royals when our season begins later this month.

In his first three seasons, the Ontario Blue Jay alum has batted a lifetime .309.

The Oakville, Ontario native is currently playing in his senior season at D'Youville.

Royals manager Dino Roumel said he is pumped to be bringing back a core Royal

"It's great to have Ethan back with us. I've had the good fortune of knowing Ethan for a few years now and he gets better every year. We are expecting 'Hammer' to be a big contributor offensively and defensively. Ethan never gives an at-bat away and is someone we count on to be solid defensively. He is another versatile player but more importantly, another quality guy in our clubhouse."
