GUELPH - The Guelph Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce today the re-signing of right-handed pitcher Yuki Narita.

Narita, 25, will enter his second season with the Royals after a successful first season with the blue and white.

In 2023, the Sendai Shi, Japan native pitched in a combined 21 games between the regular season and the playoffs, putting up an earned run average of 3.89 in the process.

The hard-throwing right-hander was named as a second-team All-Star for his efforts.

Royals manager Dino Roumel said bringing back Narita was a no-brainer.

"We are so excited to have Yuki back. He had a very good first year in the IBL last year and we are hoping for big things from him this year. Yuki loved being in Guelph and he is loved by his teammates and in our community. He is selfless with his time for young fans and for his teammates, Don't let his demeanour fool you though, he is a competitor on the mound."
