Royals Announce 2024 Staff

GUELPH - The Guelph Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce today our staff for the 2024 season.

On manager's Dino Roumel staff will be familiar faces, with Paul Ante returning as the team's bench coach and Lacey Scott returning as the team's athletic therapist.

Sean Travers, the founder of the Missasuga Tigers High-Performance program, returns as the team's director of player personnel, while Paul Costa and Nick Pickersgill join the team as equipment managers.

Costa is the former game-day operations manager of the London Majors.

On the communications side, Ryan Eakin returns for his second season as the team's communications director after splitting his first ten years in the league between the Barrie Baycats and Toronto Maple Leafs.

He will be joined by new faces, with Ty White, a TMU student, joining the broadcast team as the team's play-by-play announcer.

Mark Pare, also with the Kitchener Panthers, will join the team as a play-by-play announcer as well.

Joining them in the broadcast booth will be Neil Srivastava and Joe Barkley as booth analysts.

Srivastava, the longest-serving media member in the IBL, got his start in the IBL with the Guelph Royals in the 1990s.

Producing the games will be Jacob Chappele, a student from the University of Guelph.

Eli Pearl, another TMU student, joins the team as a social media assistant, while Gar Fitzgerald returns as the team's photographer.

On the game-day side, Kaya Huschilt has been named as the team's director of game-day operations after being the Royals social media assistant for the 2023 season.

The University of Guelph student interned with the Guelph Storm throughout the 2023-24 season.

Joining him will be Kara Martin as the team's in-game host and assistant director of game day operations.

Martin has worked for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Ontario Racing Management.
