Royals Bats Cold As Sox Pull Off Upset

GUELPH - Luis Perez did it all in the Brantford's 7-2 win over Guelph Saturday evening at David E. Hastings Stadium.

Perez had three hits, two RBI, two runs and a steal for the Red Sox (5-25). Anthony Rizquez drove in two, and Nic Burdett had two hits, two runs and an RBI.

Victor Mueses (1-5) threw five scoreless innings and scattered two hits with four walks and eight strikeouts.

For Guelph (5-18), Kyle Kush drove in the team's only run on a double. Justin Interisano also doubled as the Royals' offence went cold with only four hits.

Yomar Concepcion (3-4) took the loss after allowing seven runs (four earned) on seven hits in 7.1 innings.
