Royals Blown Out by Baycats At Home
GUELPH - Regroup for the weekend.
The Barrie Baycats blew out the Guelph Royals 10-2 on Tuesday evening to improve to 9-5 on the season.
With the loss, the Royals fall to 4-10.
Barrie starter Juan Benitez was fantastic yet again for the visiting Baycats, throwing seven shutout innings while allowing just two hits and one walk.
The former Miami Marlins farmhand struck out four Guelph batters.
Baycats shortstop Carson Burns led the offensive surge for Barrie, going two-for-three with a walk.
Guelph starter Yomar Concepcion took the loss after allowing five earned runs on six hits and two walks in six innings pitched.
