Royals Bolster Rotation with Kush; Re-Sign Three Others

by Ryan Eakin

GUELPH - The Guelph Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce today that we have signed starting pitcher Jacob Kush.

Kush, 25, joins his hometown Royals after spending last season playing professional baseball in the Frontier League for the Trois-Rivieres Aigles.

Jacob becomes the third Kush brother to play for the Royals, after both Kyle and Ryan.

The Royals also announce the re-signings of Jeff MacLeod, Ashton Patterson, and Mike Cechettto.

MacLeod is the longest-serving player on the Royals and the longest-serving position player in the IBL.

Patterson is set to enter his third season with Guelph after hitting a lifetime .250 in his first two seasons with the club.

Cecchetto, meanwhile, is set to enter his second season with the team after playing in 21 games a season ago.
