Royals Bring Back Concepcion After Breakout Season
GUELPH - The Guelph Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce today the re-signing of reliever Yomar Concepcion.
Concepcion, 32, returns to Guelph for his fourth season with the team.
In 2024, the righty enjoyed a breakout season with the club, going 1-0 with a 2.61 ERA in 11 appearances.
The native of La, Romana struck out 32 batters in just 20.2 innings pitched.
Royals assistant general manager Ryan Eakin said Concepcion is poised to be another big piece in the Royals bullpen.
"Between Yomar, Gaku Ueda, Brandon Deans, and a soon-to-be-announced import closer, we fully expect our bullpen to be our calling card to begin the season. We not only have depth, but multiple guys to close out ball games. We are building a bullpen that we hope can be the envy of the entire league and re-signing Yomar is a step in that direction."
