Royals Bring Back Dominant Righty Case

GUELPH - The Guelph Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce the re-signing of setup man Andrew Case for the 2026 season.

Case, 33, returns to the team for his third season after previously pitching for the Royals in 2022 and 2025.

In 2025, the former Toronto Blue Jays farmhand had a 1.80 ERA in five appearances before recording a 1.68 ERA in four postseason appearances.

The Saint John native, who made it to Triple-A in the Blue Jays system, will be with the Royals from the start of the season and said he cannot wait to get started.

"I'm really excited to be back with my brothers. I love the fans. I really want to get our skipper [Dino Roumel] a championship. That's a big reason why I want to be back. I believe we have the team to do it."

Royals assistant general manager Ryan Eakin said a near full-season of Case will be huge for Guelph.

"I was so fired up after my call with Andrew last week. We saw what he could do last year, joining us off the couch late in the year. A full season of a ready-to-go Case is going to be even that more dominant. He is all in on winning and you can feel that when you're in the dugout with him. We love his drive and the standard he helps set for us. We are so pumped to go to war with him this season."
