Royals Re-Sign Morro for 2023 Season

by Ryan Eakin

GUELPH -- The Guelph Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce today that we have re-signed shortstop Conner Morro for the 2023 season.

Morro, 25, joined the Royals in 2022 after spending the first four seasons of his IBL career with the Barrie Baycats.

In 2022, the four-time IBL champion had a career year, batting .374 with seven home runs and five stolen bases in 26 games en route to being named a second-team All-Star.

The Ontario Blue Jays Director of Player Development then followed his great regular season with an even better postseason, batting .440 in six games played.

The 2016 IBL Rookie of the Year said he cannot wait for the upcoming season.

"I'm very excited to come back to Hastings in 2023 and help the Royals compete for a championship. The people around the organization such as Dino [Roumel] and Shawn [Fuller] have made the decision to keep playing very easy for me."
