Royals Sign Ohashi; Bring Back Yan

GUELPH - The Guelph Royals Baseball Club is excited to announce today the signing of two imports.

First, the team announced that infielder Ryousuke Ohashi has signed with the team for the 2024 season.

Ohashi, 29, becomes the second Japanese player on the roster, joining 2023 All-Star Yuki Narita.

The left-handed bat most recently played for the Shibetsu Samuraiblades in the Hokkaido Frontier League in Japan.

The team also announced the re-signing of starting pitcher Hector Yan.

In 2023, the former LA Angels prospect recorded a 4.23 earned run average across the regular season and playoffs.

The southpaw most notably struck out 92 batters in 55.1 innings.
