Malik Collymore's ninth-inning RBI single off the fence in leftfield gave the Royals a 5-4 victory over the London Majors in front of another packed crowd at Hastings Stadium.

The game featured two of the league's best  starting pitchers in the Intercounty and both kept their squads in the game

The Royals opened the scoring four times in the second inning off  Majors ace Owen Boon before the Majors answered right back with four in the top of the third off Royals ace Claudio Custodio.

Boon lasted 5.1 IP for the Majors allowing four runs (all earned) on eight hits, with three walks and nine strikeouts.
Custodio pitched another eight innings allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits, walking three, and 12 strikeouts.

Andrew  Case (1-0) pitched a scoreless top of the ninth for the Royals with a strikeout earning the win in relief.
Former Royal Fernando Fernandez (0-1) took the loss, allowing a run on two hits with a walk in the ninth.

Collymore and J.D. Williams went 2-for-5 with an RBI. Kyle Kush and Brando Leroux each drove in a run and scored while Jeff MacLeod went 3-for-3 with a run scored.

With the victory, the Royals improved to 15-8 on the season while the Majors lost their second in a row and fell to 16-7.
