Week In Review: Royals Get Back to .500 After Undefeated Weekend
GUELPH - The Guelph Royals are back to .500 after an undefeated weekend.

The Royals hosted their Home Opener on May 24th and beat the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs 7-4. Manager Dino Roumel was recognized pregame for winning the 2024 IBL Manager of the Year. Fan favourite Josh Garton threw out the first pitch and the Royals didn’t look back. Garrett Takamatsu went yard along with three hits and three runs. Royals pitching shut down the Maple Leafs, as Edgar Garcia came in for 9th and closed the game.
SUNDAY
On Sunday, the Royals travelled to Chatham-Kent to take on the Barnstormers and came out on top of a nail-biter. JD Williams led the Royals bats with four hits and three RBI, as the Royals beat the Barnstormers 11-8 to improve to 2-2 on the season and get back to .500.

Looking ahead, the Royals will take on the visiting London Majors at home on May 31, then travel down Highway 6 to take on the Hamilton Cardinals.
